2011-2012 TJHSST Admissions Process Info

Detailed information regarding the 2011-2012 admissions process will be available by Friday, September 9, 2011. Some early dates you may wish to put on your calendar are:

  • September 26, 2011 - Applications Available
  • October 1, 2011 - TJ Open House
  • October 21, 2011 - Application Deadline (receipt date)
  • December 3, 2011 - Test Day

If you attend a public middle school in a participating school division, you must pick up an application from your school's designated TJ liaison counselor beginning September 26. Many private schools also will have applications. If your school does not have applications, or you are home schooled, you should contact the Admissions Office to request an application once we have posted on this website that applications are available.

TJHSST Open House is Saturday, October 1, 2011

The annual TJHSST Open House for 8th graders interested in learning more about the school will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011. You may visit at any time between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Come and learn more about the school program and the admissions process, talk to students and teachers, and visit classrooms and laboratories.

We have on average 3,000 to 4,000 visitors at Open House each year. Please plan ahead so that you have time to find parking and participate in the Open House before it ends at 11:30 a.m.

School Visits in September and October 2011

Admissions Office staff visit many local public middle schools during September and October to speak with students and parents about TJHSST and the admissions process. The TJ liaison counselor at each middle school arranges these visits and will notify you if we are coming to your school this fall. See TJHSST Admissions Presentations for a map of presentation locations, dates, and times (Check back frequently. Additional locations will be added once the school year begins). Contact your school's liaison counselor if you have any questions.
