Purple Comet! Math Meet

There are two weeks left before the start of the 2012 Purple Comet! Math Meet which will run Tuesday April 17 through Thursday April 26, 2012. This FREE, annual, online, international, team, mathematics competition designed for middle school and high school students is run from the contest web site at http://purplecomet.org. As an adult supervisor, you can register as many teams as you want.

>> Each team can have from one to six students.
>> Teams can compete as a small school team, a large school team, or a team with students from more than one school.
>> Teams that wish to participate but do not wish to compete with other teams can register as a non-competitive team.
>> Problems are displayed in English, but printable versions of the problems are provided in 16 languages.
>> All participants receive certificates of participation or award certificates.
>> The contest web site contains a complete description of all rules under CONTEST RULES.
>> The contest web site allows any registered team to work an old contest as practice.
>> Download a printable poster to advertise the contest.
>> During the contest our helpline will be available by e-mail and telephone 24 hours per day.

Over 3000 teams are expected to participate in this years competition.
